It's not very surprising when the Democrats try to ignore a controversy within their own party. A clear example is when Vice President Kamala Harris laughs before telling a lie as an answer to a reporter. But more recently President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, allegedly used the n-word in a series of lewd conversations with his $845-per-hour...

Florida's Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, gets an early start in the celebration of pride month by signing a bill into law. Named the "Fairness In Women Sports Act," a ban on transgender girls (male to female) from competing in high school level girls sports and university level sports as well.
Gov. DeSantis stated during the signing of the bill, "We believe in the state of Florida, of protecting the fairness and the integrity of women's athletics," DeSantis stated. "And I can tell you this in Florida, you know, girls are going to play girl's sports and boys are going play boy's sports, that's what we're doing. We're going to make sure that that's the reality. So the bill that we're doing today will ensure fairness for women athletes for years to come in the state of Florida. It says that athletic teams or sports that are designated for females are open to females. And we're going to go based on biology."-www.orlandosentinel.com
During the bill signing, Gov. DeSantis plays a video showing biological males competing against females in high school track and field programs and winning. Also, attending the bill signing, DeSantis brought in high school track and field runner, Selina Soule from Connecticut. She explained how she fell two places short of qualification for finals, after losing to two biological males who 'identified' as girls.
In the most recent months, many other states have proposed and some have passed similar bills such as Florida's "Fairness In Women Sports Act." The U.S. States such as Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Montana.
"Some of these organizations say they're not going to hold events if you do this, just let me say very clearly, in Florida, we're going to do what's right, we'll stand up to corporations, they are not going to dictate the policies in this state," DeSantis stated to the press. "We will stand up to groups like the NCAA, who think that they should be able to dictate the policies in different states."
With the current Biden Administration, Joe Biden signed an executive order on his first day of office which banned discrimination based on gender. Many LGTBQ advocated state has called these bans as "discriminatory," stating, "It could harm transgender children's mental health." The NCAA publicly announced that they support transgender athletes within their organization, stating "It won't hold championship events in places that aren't "free of discrimination."
The Trevor Project was quick to condemn the bill stating, "On the first day of LGBTQ Pride Month - and after a year in which more than half of transgender and nonbinary youth seriously considered attempting suicide - it is unconscionable that Florida politicians would go out of their way to target trans youth. This group of young people desperately needs more support, not to be further marginalized and attacked by those in positions of power," said Sam Brinton, vice president of advocacy and government affairs for the organization. "These sports bans are as unfair and unnecessary as they are dangerous. When a trans young person is told they cannot play the sport they love solely because of who they are, it can be incredibly harmful to their mental health and sense of self, and contribute to increased risk for suicide. This Pride Month, and every month, we must send a strong message to transgender and nonbinary youth that they should be proud of who they are and deserve the same rights and opportunities as everyone else."-www.thetrevorproject.org
The Human Rights Campaign also publicly announced that they are planning on filing a lawsuit against the state stating "The Human Rights Campaign will always stand up to anti-equality forces on behalf of transgender kids, and that is exactly what we plan to do by legally challenging this ban on the participation of transgender girls and women in sports," said a statement from HRC President Alphonso David. "Gov. DeSantis and Florida lawmakers are legislating based on a false, discriminatory premise that puts the safety and well-being of transgender children on the line. Transgender kids are kids; transgender girls are girls. Like all children, they deserve the opportunity to play sports with their friends and be a part of a team. Transgender youth must not be deprived of the opportunity to learn important skills of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and teamwork. The harmful provisions added to SB 1028 will not just impact transgender people in Florida. All Floridians will have to face the consequences of this anti-transgender legislation - including economic harm, expensive taxpayer-funded legal battles, and a tarnished reputation. In Florida, we are ensuring that there are legal consequences to pay for being on the wrong side of history."

2021 California Gubernatorial recall election Republican candidate, Caitlyn Jenner, (formerly known as Bruce Jenner), as stated to the press "That's why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls' sports in school. It just isn't fair. And we have to protect girls' sports in our schools,"- 2021.
